BEVERAGES

There is nothing healthier than filtered water, but there are others that are not full of sugar or artificial ingredients. Add these to your daily diet and please just don’t drink soft drinks especially diet ones, they are so bad for you, so many artificially ingredients.

Tea: especially Green Tea or your own home brew of black or white tea, this helps protect against high blood pressure, liver disease, high cholesterol and inflammation, it will help boost your immune system. Another great choice is Hibiscus.

Coffee: in moderation. Keep it plain just brewed using water and roasted coffee beans; don’t add all those sugary extras. Coffee contains vitamin C, magnesium, polyphenols, flavonoids and antioxidants.

Wine: in moderation, every ones metabolism is different. There has been lots of research on this and the group of people that drank 1 small glass of red wine helps your blood sugar control, this study also showed a reduction in their cardiovascular risk factors and helped protect the HDL cholesterol while their overall cholesterol and lipid profile also improved.

Water can be a little plain so here are some great ways to add some naturally infused water to you recipes. Water Infused Recipes Here

Homemade green juices, shakes and smoothies. The more plants and veggies you consume, the better. One of my favorite combinations is kale, celery, cucumbers, lemon, apples, ginger root and parsley.

Coconut water and Watermelon water: these are readily available in your supermarkets now; they are much better choices for sports or rehydration as they have lower sugar in them.

Spirits: in moderation
